Tarun Tahiliani's official legacy page states that he and Sailaja Tahiliani co-founded Ensemble in Mumbai in 1987 as a multi-brand fashion boutique. It says he later studied at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York and held a solo show at London's Dorchester Hotel in 1994.
